The Mobile Era Is On

For the very first time in history, consumers are spending more time on their mobile devices rather than watching TV. At least that is said in the latest research from eMarketer on US consumers. Specifically, the results show that the average US adult will spend 3 hours, 43 minutes on mobile devices in 2019, while on TV it will be 3 hours, 35 minutes.

Within the mobile devices, a smartphone is number one. The average US consumers will spend 2 hours, 55 minutes on it (making it 9-minute increase from 2018). Also, users spend most of the time in apps – 2 hours, 57 minutes, and only 26 minutes in a mobile browser. The most common app usage is listening to digital audio (music and podcasts primarily). Number two action is social network activity.
