It seems that a considerable part of social media marketers change regularly cover photo of their Facebook Pages (this is the big one in the header). And as it is well known, this change is reflected in the fans newsfeed. Let’s take a look at how the fans react to these changes and see the ranking ordered by number of interactions.

31st July Twitter launched new cashtag symbols. Let’s see how popular they are and whether there is a chance for mass use.

For our survey, we chose the strongest global brands, including competitive Facebook, whose shares are the subject of passionate debate.

Does Romney Buy his Facebook Fans?

Today you could see that Mitt Romney crossed the border of 4.000.000 fans on his fan page on Facebook. This is a great milestone for each politician.

But in help with ZoomSphere’s Analytics we have found that there is something strange.

ZoomSphere generate a lot of useful reports there. One of them is pie chart where all fans are divided into groups according to their number of fans.

Here you are this graph for Mitt Romney:

Here we can see that around 34% fans of Mitt Romney have only couple of their own fans. It is very unusual and suspicious.

Similarly, a large proportion of such fans is usually an indicator of their shopping over the dubious services.

How To Track Twitter Cashtags with ZoomSphere

Twitter is now rolling out the ability for you to click on stock symbols with a $ sign in front of them. Once you click them, you’ll be able to see all of the conversation about a particular company, much like you would a hashtag.

Here you have simple instruction how to track these cashtags directly in ZoomSphere:

1.) go to ZoomSphere’s Engagement Console

2.) create a new tab to track your favourite cashtags

3.) search your cashtag name and limit the result on Twitter only

7-ELEVEN Free Slurpee Day -- Heat Wave Zombies Roll In

Free Slurpee Day was last Wednesday and it came just in time! The insane heat wave that has hit North America has devastated millions and there couldn’t be a better time for a sweet, ice cold drink that is absolutely free. Commemorating 85 years in business, 7-ELEVEN was giving away slushees to anyone who came into one of their countless stores. Obviously, the slurpee size they gave away was 7.11 ounces, just enough for some relief on a blistering hot day. And not so coincidentally, 7-ELEVEN’s birthday fell on the eleventh day of the seventh month. I wonder if they know any other numbers?

Why Slurpees you ask? The ICEE became popular at the variety stores in the 1960s when the company was rapidly expanding. The cool new consistency was an immediate hit with their customers and they have been serving them since.

The 7-ELEVEN chain started in Dallas in 1927 with one shop selling basic farm products like eggs and milk in front of an ice house. It acquired its infamous name by simply stating the hours they were open: 7 AM to 11 PM. This caught on quickly and people loved the convenience of its location and its flexible hours, that was unlike any other store.

But for this event, it seems the 7-ELEVEN people flipped around the hours, perhaps cheating some people out of free slurpees. The freezing drinks were served from 11 AM to 7 PM to anyone who wanted one, and plenty took advantage of the opportunity. Customers had the opportunity to choose from a smorgasbord of flavours including the classics like Root Beer, Orange, Coke and Lemonade. But there were also some more adventurous flavours like Mountain Dew White Out, Swamp Water and The Dirty Zebra.

Buzz for the event on social media wasn’t huge and could have gotten more people involved if it was more prevalent in the right channels. In an effort to increase awareness about good health and combat the recent criticism of drinks that are high in sugar, 7-ELEVEN has recently released a diet version of the slurpee. The new flavours are sugar free and have half of the calories of the regular drinks. Some of these healthier choices include mango and strawberry-banana.

Thousands of people got their free fix of slurpee last week, and with it, a free serving of brain freeze that usually lasts for 7 to 11 seconds.

Federer Kills The Wimbeldon And Breaks An All Time Record

Roger Federer is probably the best tennis player ever to compete in the sport, but he wouldn’t tell you that if you asked him. Don’t let his modesty fool you though; he is spectacular in every aspect of the game, on and off the court. This Sunday, the Swiss sensation beat out two of the top four tennis players in the world to claim the championship at Wimbledon – the most prestigious tennis competition in the world.

After cruising through the first two rounds of the tournament, Federer was matched against the number one ranked tennis player in the world (at the time), Novak Djokovic, in the Semi Finals. Federer eliminated the Serb star in four sets and was still hungry for more. Next on his plate was fourth-ranked Andy Murray, who was playing on as close to a home court as he knows. If Murray defeated Roger then it would have been the first time a Scot has won the Wimbledon on their native soil in 76 years. This was not meant to be however, as Federer dominated Murray in three straight sets after losing the first set to the Scottish athlete.

Now, Federer is ranked first overall in the world once again and the top three tennis players, who are said by many to be the greatest trio in a sport playing at the same time, have jumbled their standings once again. This will be the 286^th week in his career that Roger is ranked number one. Next week, he will pass Pete Sampras (who at the moment is tied for the same record) and be the all time leader.

Time and time again Federer has proved to be an unstoppable force late in matches. No other athlete seems to have the same ability to rise to the occasion when all the pressure is on the line. With his victory over Murray, Federer won his seventh Wimbledon Title, a record-tying feat that only Pete Sampras has accomplished in the open era. Federer has also now distanced himself from Sampras (14 wins), one of the all-time greats, with 17 Grand Slam career victories.

From 2005 to 2010, Federer did something that has never been done in his sport, appearing in 18 of 19 finals in all of the Grand Slam events, winning ten in a row in that span. Domination of this kind is rare in any sport. Federer is a dynasty himself comparable to the Yankees of the late 1930s or the 49ers of the 80s. Federer has been recognized separately countless times by the media, fans and fellow athletes as the greatest tennis player of all time and one of the best sportsman of all time.

Federer has more Facebook fans than any other pro-tennis player with over eleven million! After his victory on Sunday, his fans jumped by a quick 5000 in one day. Close to 100,000 people talk about him on social networks every day. He is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, and yet has avoided any controversies in his personal life. Roger Federer is a true role model and seems as times to be super-human. What has already been a record-shattering career will only continue to flourish.

The FAT Jessica Simpson Plans On Bouncing Back Like A Tennis Ball

Whether it is from that unforgettable video in her pink bikini version of “These Boots Are Made for Walking”, throughout the entire movie, The Dukes of Hazzard, or pretty much anything Jessica Simpson did from ages 19 – 29, we remember her as that unbelievable girl next door. But with time everything changes, and Simpson has quickly gone from that naughty hotty to a hefty mommy with the arrival of her first daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson just over two months ago.

Jessica’s daughter, Max, is her and Eric Johnson’s first child. The couple, who have been engaged for over a year and a half, were supposed to get married earlier in the year but postponed it after they got the news that Jessica was pregnant. Simpson was not shy during her pregnancy however, taking some revealing pictures for the world. She appeared totally naked on the cover of Elure magazine with only her hands covering her special parts and her pregnant belly on full display.

Maxwell was born on May 1^st and not long after many people were already commenting on Jessica’s post-baby weight. Weight Watchers swept in on the opportunity to capitalize on the singer-actress-celebrity-fashionista’s current weight, offering Jessica $4,000,000 to be Weight Watcher’s new spokeswoman. Eager to get back in shape, Simpson accepted and has since been seen coming in and out of her personal trainer’s place trying to shed those pounds.

Jessica and Eric say they are ecstatic to be new parents and are enjoying all of the little things involved. Eric Johnson, a former San Fransisco 49ers Tight End, has been with Simpson since his divorce in 2010. Jessica seems to have settled down with the retired football player after a long line of celebrity boyfriends in her past including Cowboys’ quarterback, Tony Romo; Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman, Billy Corgan; acclaimed musician, John Mayer; comedian, Dane Cook; and Maroon 5 Front man, Adam Levine.

In the meantime, Jessica has been filling her time with being a new mom and working on her multi-million dollar fashion empire, which includes fragrances, accessories, purses and shoes. Her popular products continue to fly off the shelves, and this has just motivated her to expand even more. She plans on making her own line of wedding gowns and dresses for distribution throughout the world. Simpson knows all about shaping her business around her personal life. While pregnant, she released her own maternity line that continues to succeed. With a wedding in the horizon, Simpson will surely soon be back in shape, modeling some of her new wares for the world.

As the hype of her pregnancy dies down and Jessica Simpson takes the time she needs in her private life to be a new mother, less people seem to be talking about her in social networks. This may not be a bad thing, because for most of her life she has been under the spotlight, a little peace and quiet may be just what she needs. Meanwhile, her fan base continues to grow on Facebook by hundreds each day.

Tiger Woods Owns The AT&T National This Weekend

This weekend Tiger Woods won his third PGA Tour event of the year and his seventy-fourth tour event of his career. With his most recent victory at the AT&T National, Woods passes Jack Nicklaus’ total tour wins and moves into second place all time. After finishing one over par on the first day, Tiger looked in his old form the rest of the tournament scoring three under, four under and two under respectively to win the tournament that he himself hosts every year by two strokes.

To say Tiger Woods is probably the best golfer in history is not too controversial, but to call him the best athlete in history may stir up a little more of a debate. The argument is definitely there though. Tiger has dominated his sport unlike anyone else ever has. He was ranked the world’s number one golfer for ten years and has been named the PGA Player of the Year Award ten times.

At only 36 years of age, Tiger is already second in Tournament wins (74) only to Sam Snead (82). However, Snead won 82 PGA Tour Events in twenty-nine years and Tiger already had 74 wins in just 16 years playing professionally. Without any more unforeseen developments, Woods is on pace to demolish Snead’s record and set himself apart from the rest of his sport more than Gretzky did with hockey and more than Jordan did with basketball.

Although he is not yet the most winning golfer of all time, he has crushed all of his competition in the moneymaking department. In fact, Tiger has helped change the salary of all golfers. With his win Sunday, Woods is the first golfer to near the hundred million dollar mark for earnings on the tour with $99,000,000. If you include endorsements, Tiger is the third highest paid athlete in the world.

At the end of 2009, the world’s eyes were on Tiger for his infidelities and not his golf game. After one report of him cheating was released, numerous women made it public that they had relations with Tiger Woods. This led to the break up of his marriage and for a long while the break up of his golf game. For over two years, Tiger went winless and many people thought that one of the best athletes of all time had ended his career prematurely.

With his mistakes long behind him, it looks like he is beginning to come into his own once again. Woods has three tournament wins in his last seven starts and his confidence is growing.

As far as social networks go, Woods has never truly recovered from his controversy. Although he has over two and a half million followers on Facebook, for an athlete of his stature, he could have many more. Only twelve thousand people talk about him each day and since he is known globally, that is a very small fraction. But with more time, Tiger is sure to regain his popularity and boost his position in social media networks.
